THE CAUSE OF THE PROBLEM

What impact does deforestation have and why is toilet paper a bad example? Let's take a closer look at that.

1. Deforestation

Thousands of trees are cut down every day to produce conventional paper products.

2. Global Warming

Trees play a significant role in mitigating climate change.

3. Resource Scarcity

Wood is a renewable resource, but not an unlimited resource.

4. Disposable paper

In products like toilet paper and paper towels, trees are poorly utilized.

5. Single-use plastic

Most paper products are packaged in plastic packaging that ends up in landfills or in the oceans.

OUR SOLUTION

By now it should be clear that we cannot continue on the current path. There must be a better way. Fortunately, there are alternatives - and they do not require significant changes in our daily lives. We can all continue to enjoy the comfort and convenience of toilet paper and paper towels; we just need to be a little more creative in how we produce them.

Join us in our commitment to preserving our valuable forests for future generations.

BAMBOO IS BETTER!

Bamboo is the fastest growing plant in the world, as it grows 4 cm per hour. This means that instead of cutting down 100-year-old trees to make paper, we can use bamboo, which regrows in 2 to 4 years. Additionally, it regrows from the same root after harvesting, so the ecosystem is less damaged and eroded, making sustainable forestry possible. Although bamboo differs in many aspects from trees, it also possesses some of the best qualities, such as binding large amounts of carbon and producing soft, strong paper products.

PLASTIC-FREE PACKAGING

When you imagine the paper aisle in the supermarket, what do you notice? We see a lot of plastic! According to BAFU, 14,000 tons of plastics enter the soils and waters every year. That’s why we have removed plastic packaging from our products. Our toilet paper is packaged in environmentally friendly materials that are biodegradable and 100% recyclable.
